Why Harvey

At Harvey, we’re transforming how legal and professional services operate. By combining frontier agentic AI, an enterprise-grade platform, and deep domain expertise, we’re reshaping how critical knowledge work gets done for decades to come.

This is a rare chance to help build a generational company at a true inflection point. We have strong product-market fit and world-class investor support. We’re scaling fast and defining a new category in real time. The work is ambitious, the bar is high, and the opportunity for growth — personal, professional, and financial — is unmatched.

Our team moves fast, takes ownership, and is deeply committed to the mission — operating with intensity, staying close to our customers, and pushing each other for excellence. We live by three values: Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job's Not Finished. We act quickly on clear judgment over perfect information, we believe simplicity is what scales, and we're never satisfied with where we are. If you want to do the best work of your career alongside people who share that drive, we'd love to build with you.

At Harvey, the future of professional services is being written today — and we’re just getting started.

Role Overview

Based in Mexico City, this role will take ownership of day-to-day Accounts Payable operations across the Americas, with a focus on the US, Canada and our expansion into Mexico and Brazil. Reporting to the Global Accounts Payable Manager, you’ll work closely with colleagues across Finance and our international AP team, staying hands-on with invoice processing, payments, reconciliations and employee expense reviews.

As Harvey grows, you’ll help improve the systems and processes behind that work. This means identifying recurring issues, reducing manual steps and partnering with Business Systems and the wider AP team to introduce practical automation and AI, while maintaining accurate reporting, appropriate controls and responsive support for vendors and employees.

What You'll Do

  • Own day-to-day AP operations across the Americas, staying hands-on with invoice processing, payment preparation, reconciliations and exception resolution as Harvey grows.

  • Process invoices across multiple entities and currencies, ensuring accurate coding, appropriate documentation and approvals, and timely payment in line with established controls.

  • Coordinate payment runs with Treasury and Accounting, investigate failed or delayed payments, and resolve vendor and employee queries.

  • Support month-end close through AP reconciliations, accrual inputs and investigation of outstanding balances, ensuring AP activity is accurately reflected in the accounts.

  • Help establish AP processes for new entities in markets such as Mexico and Brazil, partnering with Tax, Accounting and local advisers on invoicing, tax documentation and payment requirements.

  • Identify recurring issues and manual work across the invoice-to-payment process. Document the underlying causes and implement improvements that reduce processing time, errors and follow-up.

  • Work with the global AP team and Business Systems to define requirements, test changes and introduce practical automation and AI into AP workflows, with appropriate controls and human review.

  • Track invoice backlogs, overdue payments and recurring exceptions, using that information to prioritise improvements and help transaction volumes grow without a matching increase in manual work.

  • Coordinate with colleagues across regions and time zones, ensuring clear handovers, consistent processes and shared visibility into outstanding issues.

  • Review and approve employee travel and expense reports in Ramp, checking receipts, coding and compliance with company policy, resolving exceptions with employees, and helping improve AI-assisted review and automation.

What You Have

  • 5+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including hands-on ownership of invoice processing, payment runs, reconciliations and month-end support in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

  • Experience supporting AP across the Americas, with knowledge of US operations and Latin American requirements (particularly Mexico and Brazil).

  • Experience handling high transaction volumes while remaining directly involved in vendor queries, approval follow-up and payment issues.

  • A practical understanding of local invoice and tax-documentation requirements, and the judgement to recognise when an issue needs input from Tax, Accounting or local advisers.

  • Examples of improvements you have personally helped deliver, such as reducing manual invoice entry, improving approval workflows, automating payment files or preventing recurring reconciliation issues.

  • Experience with NetSuite, Zip or comparable ERP and procurement platforms, including working with technical teams on requirements, testing and resolving issues between systems. Familiarity with Ramp or similar expense systems is a plus.

  • An interest in applying AI and automation to everyday finance work, supported by examples of tools you have used, tested or explored. You can explain what should be automated, what needs human review and how you would check that a change works.

  • Experience working within an international team across different time zones, coordinating payment deadlines, resolving issues with colleagues in other regions, and keeping handovers and responsibilities clear.

  • The ability to take ownership in a lean, growing team: resolve day-to-day operational issues, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and help build processes that will work at greater scale.

  • Experience in a fast-growing technology company is strongly preferred. We’re looking for someone who has handled high transaction volumes across multiple entities while helping improve the processes and systems behind the work. Comparable experience in a similarly fast-paced, scaling business is also relevant.

  • Hands-on experience reviewing and approving employee travel and expense reports in Ramp or a similar expense platform, including checking policy compliance, resolving exceptions and responding to employee queries.
